Kaolin - Eckalite

China Clay is often referred to as Kaolin. It is refactory and generally fires to an off-white colour. Used in bodies to develop whiteness and in glazes to introduce alumina and silica. Also useful in glazes as a suspending agent and in bodies to increase maturing temperatures.
