SW-004 Zinc Free Clear is a specialty clear glaze designed for use on glazes containing chrome-based pigments. Some common chrome-based underglaze colours are those in the shades of red, pink, or green. Zinc-Free Clear with these colors ensures that you will get a brilliant, smooth, and crystal clear surface over these colors. Fire to cone 5/6. Carbon trapping and a milky haze may develop at cone 9/10.
Cone 6 oxidation (first image): Zinc Free Clear is a specialty clear glaze designed for use on underglazes containing chrome-based pigments. It ensures that you will get a brilliant, smooth and crystal clear surface over these colors.
Cone 10 reduction (second image): Carbon trapping (which leads to bubbles) and a milky haze may develop at higher temperatures.
Available in 473ml (pint) or 3.8L (gallon) sizes.
TIP: If applied too thick, fired finish may become cloudy.
