A beautifully carved rosewood stamp of native Australian banksia flowers, made locally in Brisbane.
The quality of these rosewood and maplewood stamps is consistently high, providing clean and crisp outlines no matter how intricate the design. Perfect for pottery, paper or textiles.
Instructions for use in clay:
It’s recommended to spray lightly with a kitchen oil before each session, as this helps release the stamp without clay sticking. Cornflower can also be used. Practice on scrap clay first to get a feel for how hard you need to press in. Be careful not to press hard if the clay is very moist, as pressing too hard can result in the clay getting stuck. In this case, clean with water and a soft toothbrush or similar.
Stamps work best and give a much cleaner print on clay that isn’t overly moist.
