Feeneys Dark Stoneware is a rich dark and medium textured clay with good tooth and a lovely colour. It is suitable to throw, hand build, slab, wood/pit fire, raku, large pots and sculpture. Stained with iron and manganese, it fires to grey brown with salt and pepper speckle in oxidation, and a warm brown with a salt and pepper speckle in reduction.
A broad range of firing temperatures from 1000 – 1280oC
