Feeneys Fine Blend is a very forgiving, plastic general purpose clay that is suitable for throwing, hand and slab building and coiling. It has a medium coarse texture with a bit of natural grog. Fires light buff in oxidation and a dappled grey/cream in reduction.
A broad range of firing temperatures from 1080 – 1280oC
Mesh size: Mesh 14 – hammer milled
% Shrinkage wet to dry: 4.9
% Shrinkage wet to fired: 7.67 @ 1080oC and 12.4 @ 1280oC
Vitreous Temperature:Â ~1300oC Orton Cone 10
