SW141 White Matte is part of Mayco’s Stoneware Matte glazes and range from solid shades to those that create interesting colour variations as they move and break. Application thickness is the key to making matte glazes work for you. A thicker application of three or more coats will produce a more opaque finish.
Cone 6 (first image): SW141 White Matte will produce a smooth matte surface at cone 5/6 with no movement. Light coats will allow clay body characteristics to appear through the glaze (especially on dark and speckled clay bodies).
Cone 10 (second and third images): No change in colour.
